Tip-Ex Tank-Ex makes exciting live return
Tip-Ex Tank-Ex opened its doors to visitors once more in Harrogate from Thursday 30 September to Saturday 2 October. With four bustling exhibition halls and 2 outside display areas visitors flocked in to see the latest vehicles and technology aimed at the bulk haulage sector. In addition to the exhibition visitors were also able to attend a full seminar programme across the three days which provided invaluable guidance on everything from the pitfalls of non-compliant fleets through to the benefits of embracing the latest technology innovation.
This year also saw the inaugural Transport News Northern Rewards champagne breaksfast which was held on 1 October in the majestic Royal Hall. The Rewards recognised and celebrated the achivements of road haulage related companies and individuals based in the geographical areas stretching from the Scottish Boarders to the south side of the M62 corridor. You can view all the winners here .
If you missed the show, a comprehensive review will be published in the 21 October issue of Commercial Motor.
It’s a fantastic event. I went there on the first day to talk business.
On the second day I went with all the family. On the third day we took
all the drivers. Every day was brilliant and we loved it.
Together, Tip-Ex and Tank-Ex form the UK's only national event for the tipper, tanker and bulk haulage industries. The 2019 show saw more than 150 trucks go on display in and around the Harrogate Convention Centre. All of the major truck manufacturers exhibited, along with the bodybuilders, the tanker suppliers, the tipper bodybuilders, the tipping gear manufacturers and many more. In a year of cancellations, one event which did go ahead (albeit a little later than usual) was the Commercial Motor tipper test! Once again, we pitted six of the hottest tippers the market has to offer, against each other in a quarry.
